Die NY Times berichtet gestern – etwas unerwartet – über eine alte Handwerkstechnik – das wood block carving auf Stoffen – in Indien („Indian Print Artisans at Work„) und über ein Museum in Jaipur, das von Anokhi, einem der Hersteller solcher Stoffe – auf dem Subkontinent betrieben wird: The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing. Ich würde dort natürlich gerne hinfahren, denn es gibt auch Workshops zu „print making and block carving“! Übrigens sind auf diese Weise hergestellte Stoffe oftmals in bis zu 500 Arbeitsschritten bedruckt.

Also an interesting travel spot is mentioned: „The Anokhi Museum of Hand Printing„. In the museum they even offer „print making and block carving workshops“ – so what about a journey to Jaipur? By the way, fabrics printed in that manner often have to pass 500 work steps.
