Stoffe bedrucken – neue BücherPrinting fabric – new books coming soon

Two interesting new books will be published this fall. The first one is written by Kim Kight, who runs the popular and famous True up website about all the news a fabric obsessed wants to know. Her book title sounds very promising: „A Field Guide to Fabric Design“ and it is announced to be ‚a comprehensive resource for fabric design and printing‘. The other book that will be out already next month and is written by Laurie Wisbrun who also designs and sells fabric as scarlet fig. It is entitled „Complete Guide to Designing and Printing Fabric“ and she writes on her blog last year: „The book is packed with information on the design process, step-by-step tutorials, interviews and loads of what I hope will be inspirational information and photos!“ But one still has to wait some weeks … Do you know any other interesting new books?

RaubeinRoughneck

Start with one eye, than turn your paper 90 degrees, than draw the other eye, turn 90 degrees and so forth. Such a wild looking roughneck may then be the result of this easy drawing instruction by Carla Sonheim. Her books are already on my wishlist, but now I found her interesting website too – more wild creatures and ideas for „the art of silliness“.
